The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
A fitting line I believe, courtesy of the great William Shakesphere. We continue to get comments about the “Ghost Hunters” fraud accusation video done by MovieDan. Most of the comments we get are far from supportive of our favorite ghost hunting duo.
One overall theme to the comments is the great lengths that Jason and Grant, along with their team, go to in an attempt to portray that they are “debunking” the evidence they find where ever possible. This is what seems to set most people off. If they are claiming that they have debunked the claims, then how could they have missed these obvious flaws?
Here at Spooktalkular, we continue not to pass judgement one way or another. We thankfully just share this information and leave it to you, our faithful listener/reader to make up your own minds. With that said, if you are not familiar with Occam’s Razor, and you enjoy the paranormal, then take a few minutes and read up on it. The principle behind it states that the explanation of any phenomenon should make as few assumptions as possible. In other words, all other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best.
I’m not saying that we should view everything as a fake but if we find ourselves making multiple excuses to explain how something can’t be a fake, well, maybe it is just that, a fake. That’s not just for television but, as paranormal investigators, or at the very least, hobbyists we should take that to heart as well.
As for Spooktalkular, we’ll be doing a show tomorrow evening and try to get it uploaded before Tuesday morning.

Well done. Excellent diction, clarity of voice and volume level for both of you. Interesting, not stiff sounding and not out of control goofy. I don’t know if you also have an interest in things cryptographic etc. but perhaps some MonsterQuest etc. type coverage would be cool. I really enjoyed it and I hope you’re at it a good long time – sounds like you enjoy the topic and each other.

Hi Aaron,
Thanks for the kind comments. We both love cryptozoology!!! We live a little over an hour away from Point Pleasant, WV, home of the Mothman, and love to visit up there. We have touched on Monster Quest in some of our past episodes. We’ll definitely talk about them again we love the show so we’ll definitely cover them again.
Thanks again!!
Sure thing, form new Hampshire myself – I’ll be listening via podcast. Oh, and I work in the Software security field so I have it on the brain – I meant Cryptozoological
I went back and listened to all the episodes and sure enough there was some coverage. It’s great to get the recap on shows and reviews on movies because (for the same reason I listen to podcasts) I don’t usually have the opportunities to listen to\view live broadcasts. I’ve downloaded all of the archives from Ghostly talk, Darkness on the Edge of Town, EERIE radio, Spooky South Coast, KAPS (even B Ware by following your link) and others I have found, to listen to at work or around the house. I just wish I could find more shows like theirs and yours that I could get free podcasts of (not that I’m a mooch) – it seems like alot of them are pay or streaming only. Anyway I should probably be putting this all in an email instead of a post – especially since it isn’t specific to this topic. I like Ghost Hunters and I also like the idea that people try to see if they can debunk the debunkers – no harm done – it’s TV folks. I do believe that Jay and Grant honestly have an interest and if there is anything untoward it isn’t of their design. I have never met them – would love to someday but one of the things I like about them the most is they aren’t prone to assumption or acting pretentious – we don’t know what ghosts are, if they are. I get turned off by folks that state things as fact – especially if they are all authoritarian about it, we’re all the students and for the most part we can’t see the teacher.
