From The “Unring The Bell” File
After making it about half way through the latest Ghost Hunters Academy, I decided to do a quick search for GHA on Twitter. I noticed a post about the possibility of Jane Riley being an actress which, I have to admit, perked up my ears since I am always looking for the full story of everything. I went on to search futher when I Googled Jane Riley Ghost Hunters Academy and got the following:
Now, if you notice, the first return is Hulu and the second under it says that Jane rated herself 5 out of 5 stars. Nothing ticks me off more than self serving ratings. That is why you will never see a review from Laura or myself about Spooktalkular. Needless to say, I was curious so I clicked and got a message that the page couldn’t be found.
This screams to me that someone had posters remorse and deleted it after they posted which, perks my ears even more.
Well, fortunately, in the world that is the Internets, nothing is ever truly deleted, so thanks to the Google cache of the page, all is safe. I was not prepared for the comments that little Jane left for her fans. She does not seem to be a happy person with the show or how she was edited. She speaks to being verbally abused by Steve Gonsalves and being filmed when she started crying. This doesn’t surprise me. Steve comes off as someone who could be one of the biggest jerks ever especially on GHA. Shoot, you can almost watch his ego grow by the minute on camera.
Here are the screen captures of the posts. I’m betting she posted those comments, then, she got a call from someone at Pilgrim Television suggesting that she delete the comments.
Remember folks, this is a TV show.

GHA was a waste of time. The airwaves are becoming too crowded with paranormal programming. GHA is a cheap attempt to cash in on GH and is nothing but a bad reality elimination show. I love how Steve and Tango are portrayed as the end all authorities on spook hunting. Really? Where did you get your degrees?
Do a bit more research and you will find that Kris Williams of GH fame had some acting parts before she was cast on the show as well. Dig deeper…..you’ll be surprised (or perhaps not) at what you will find about all of the cast of GH, GHA, and GHI.

No doubt cast for the role in ‘Ghost Hunters’ for her “Eye Candy” appeal.
Sorry I missed your comment Redbug70. I couldn’t agree more with you. A while back I tweeted about how tired I was of this whole dribble. I’m sure Steve and Tango are nice people IRL but on TV, they come across as two of the biggest idiots there is. Add to that, Steve comes across as a first class ass. Like I said, I’m sure they are great guys but that’s not what I take away from watching them.

I’m SO glad I came across this post! I finally decided to see if I could find anything out about Jane from GHA and was surprised by what I’ve found – re: the Hulu posts. All I’ve noticed (between the show and her personal posts) is that she always has to finger point. I always try to find the best in people, but let’s face the facts here…no matter how they edit the show and attempt to “make her look bad” the stuff she says is rude and hateful in ANY context! I personally think she needs to grow up and stop playing the blame game. Welcome to TV honey! This show is really starting to grate on me. I think I’m done with it.
Hi, Glad you found our little research interesting. I’m still not sure what I believe about Jane. I do feel she may have received a bad edit but at the end of the day, you’re right. It’s hard to get a bad edit if you don’t give them anything to use against you.
I agree with you though, I’m done with GH: Academy. I actually feel myself losing IQ points watching it. And, sadly, I can’t spare too many.
