Spooktalkular Episode 051

In the famous words of Heather O’Rourke, “They’re Here” and by they, I’m sure she meant Spooktalkular.  We are back and moved to Sunday nights.  For our first Sunday night show, we were joined by the incredibly talented Poet and Author, Lanaia Lee.  We started off with a reading of one of her poems “Residual” as read by Victor Aurelius.  From there, we went on to talk about the Crystal Skulls, Atlantis, Edgar Cayce and so much more.  Thirty minutes wasn’t nearly long enough with this incredibly interesting lady.  Be sure to check out her book series “Of Atlantis“.  She says she won’t quit until she’s on a best sellers list.  Let’s help her get there and then not let her quit.  ;)

To find out more about Lanaia, go to her website http://www.lanaiaslair.com/

She and Victor do a show on blogtalk which you can find at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/viktoraurelius or on his NING site at http://whispersinthedark.ning.com/

Our independent music break featured the music “The Forgotten” by Josef Karl Gunnersson from his 2008 album “Retrograde!”.

  • Sorry I came in so late, but I listened to it just now and I truly love the chat with Lanaia. What a character! A force of personality and fun, a truly inspirational. Loved the end when she said goodbye y’all…I’m a sucker for Southern “y’all”s :D

And thanks for playing my song, I can’t take full credit for the sound of my song. I had that album mixed and mastered for me. George Kant from virtual-sounds.com based in Athens, Greece.

That song, The Forgotten, was the freebie mix I got from him. And I liked what he did with it so I went with him. The sound really changed, it became less harsh and more smooth and I guess a little more mainstream and professional.

I’ll be sure to share with you sometime this year a track from my forthcoming album. I might throw in a song from my EP which came in the fall of 2008 (not long after Retrograde!), if you’re craving for some more tunes for your breaks. Actually, those songs are still on my MySpace.

I’ll be there, promise, next Sunday. Hopefully along side my other spooky groupies Mark and Richard.

  • And one thing, I think it’s awesome your Para Awards have gotten so huge that it has gotten re-tweeted by those Paranormal Ghost Hunting people from various shows…something I have no clue about.

    But I can dig it!

  • Mark:

Lanaia Lee was nothing short of a fascinating and inspiring lady. To have lost six children, the use of your limbs and to care for a husband who is similarly afflicted but to see and share such joy in life was nothing short of one the most humbling interviews I have ever heard (right, I’m gushing now aren’t I?) *deep breath* I have also had a wee gander at her website and from that, and her interview, it’s clear she is a repository of insight on many a paranormal subject and I really hope she gets together with the spooks again. A damn fine listen that I genuinely didn’t want to end.

Nice to hear some of Josef’s music during the interlude. I happened upon his Myspace profile when he first became involved in BTFB and I loved what he was doing. Nice to see him getting a bit of an audience.

Here’s looking forward to the next show with much anticipation.
