Spooktalkular Season 3 Episode 13 (E76)

Tonight we break the hiatus with a new show.  We catch everyone up on Frank’s illness and discuss some of the new paranormal shows that have hit the airwaves since our last show back in March.  Since we were unable to arainge a guest on such short notice, we have rebroadcast an interview with Annamarie Hemingway from the August 24th 2008 episode of Ghostly Talk.  The topic of the interview was a discussion of the afterlife.  Since Frank will be going under the knife soon for a pretty serious operation, it seemed fitting.  Great interview, hope you enjoy as well and be sure to check out her website at http://www.practicingconsciouslivinganddying.com/ and check out Ghostly Talk at http://www.ghostlytalk.com for complete show archives for the entire time they were on the air.  Amazing stuff.  They are also great friends of Spooktalkular.  Much love for Scottl, Doug and Bonnie.  We miss you guys.
For more information on Esophageal Cancer and the precancerous condition Barrett’s Esophagus, please head over to http://www.ecan.org NOW!  Heartburn and Acid reflux can cause cancer.  Early detection is key!

Be sure to email show@spooktalkular.com with show suggestions and the answer to tonight’s trivia question.  Who was the vocal talent used in the new Spooktalkular Intro and Outro.
It’s good to be back and thanks again for everyone’s love, support and prayers!  See you in a couple of weeks.

Spooktalkular Season 3 Episode 12 (E75)

Tonight, we announce an indefinite hiatus.  Spooktalk Frank has to take some time off to deal with some sickness.  The details are in the show and it will sound better rather than reading it so I’ll leave it to you to hear.  Thank you so much my friends for your love and support over the years.  With that on my side, I will beat this.

Spooktalkular Season 3 Episode 11 (E74)

Great show tonight.  We had an amazing interview with Matt Pellowski from Red Line Studios.  We talked about the great documentary “Eyes of the Mothman” which released on February 22nd.  You can find it at any online retailer.  This film actually screened at the Mothman Festival this past year but due to our working the festival, we were in and out so we’ve been waiting to see the entire movie and, wow, it was worth the wait!

Remember, we’re bi-weekly now so be sure to check out our next episode on March 13th!
Enjoy

Spooktalkular Season 3 Episode 10 (E73)

It’s good to be back.  Not really a structured episode but more of a back to the show episode.  We talk about Frank’s new podcast named CamperCast which begins next weekend.  We recap some of the movies that we’ve watched recently.  Not breaking with tradition, we shred Paranormal Activity 2.

We’re moving to a bi-weekly format so our next show will be on February 27th.  We hope you join us then.  ;)

If you’re interested in Frank’s new Camping Podcast, keep checking http://campercast.mytristate.org for details.

Remember, please keep our great friend Mark Hayden and his family in your thoughts with their sickness.

Delay in the ole show

We’re going to take the night off.  I had a crown put on one of my teeth this week and Friday after the Dentist had left the office (of course), it started killing me.  I’ve been staying full of pain killers all weekend so I’m not feeling up to talking tonight.  Sorry.  We’ll be back next week though.  ;)

Spooktalkular Season 3 Episode 08 (E71)

It was good to be back tonight.  We had a busy night.  We had a fairly lengthy discussion about the recent Wikileaks controversy.  We then moved into some lighter territory with our Classic Cinema pick this week which was the 1974 hit ‘Black Christmas‘.  We rounded out the show with a discussion on ‘The Walking Dead‘.  The book I am waiting for is The Walking Dead: Compendium One.

A couple of the Must Check Out things we mentioned tonight were the Planet Macabre podcast and, our great friend Greg’s podcast The Creepture Feature Horror Show.  Give them both a listen, we’re sure you’ll love them.

We’ll be off air for the next couple of weeks for the holidays but in our absence, we’ll be rebroadcasting some classic ‘Ghostly Talk‘ with a couple of our favorites.

Have a Happy Holiday!

New podcast to check out

Hey Spooky Groupies!  It’s my birthday so no live show tonight.  We’ll be back next Sunday on the 19th.  As everyone who listens to the show knows, we’re huge fans of the Creepture Feature Horror Show Podcast for two reasons.  It’s an awesome show with great content and Gregamortis and Miss Mystery are super nice folks.  Well, Gregamortis is a contributor to a new podcast named Planet Macabre.   I’m about 45 minutes into the first episode and it’s great!  Check it out!

Spooktalkular Season 3 Episode 07 (E70)

Another Episode is behind us.  We took on two awesome movies tonight.  First, our Classic Cinema featured ‘Westworld’ from 1973.  Man what a classic it is too.  Great movie, Laura and I both gave it 9 Pottsies.  For our feature discussion, we take on the recent horror movie ‘The Human Centipede: The First Sequence‘.  Incredibly disturbing but again, Laura and I both loved it.  9 Pottsies for it as well.

To round out the show, we jump into a discussion of the first two episodes of the AMC Original Series ‘The Walking Dead’.  Another great episode but sadly, only three remain.  Or should I say, “Sweet Three Remain”?

During our Independent Music Break, we featured more music from the album “Stomp Out Cancer Presents: Musicians Fight Ewing’s Sarcoma, Vol. 2 Hope” with Katrina Carlson’s‘Count On Me’.  Just a reminder that all proceeds from the album are donated to fight to cure Ewing’s Sarcoma.

No show next week due to the holiday.  We’ll be back on December 5th.  Have a great two weeks.

Spooktalkular Season 3 Episode 06 (E69)

As you can see, we’ve change our naming scheme a little.  In addition to the overall episode number, we’re breaking it down by season and episode as well.  Tonight’s episode was a fun one.  We visit a little Classic Cinema with a ride on the 1980 Movie ‘Death Ship‘ provided by our good friend Richard.  Laura and I both gave it a 3 and a half Pottsie rating.

During our Independent Music Break, we featured more music from the album “Stomp Out Cancer Presents: Musicians Fight Ewing’s Sarcoma, Vol. 2 Hope” with Katrina Carlson’s ‘Count On Me’.  Just a reminder that all proceeds from the album are donated to fight to cure Ewing’s Sarcoma.

After break, we jump into a discussion of the first two episodes of the AMC Original Series ‘The Walking Dead’.  We really liked the show.  It shows great promise and we can’t wait to see where the remaining four episodes of season one go.
