Yes, the clown face was edible – sculpted from rice cereal treats! The cake itself – was a black and white cake with caramel toffee filling.

I haven’t yet listened to Spooktalkular 52 yet (even though I was there during the live show and chat), but intend to sometime this week.

Was the clown’s face on the cake edible, and most importantly..was it a fruit or sponge cake? Love sponge cake, although with a round cake you can’t have the corner piece (which has the most icing)!

Found out today in the TV Times, that on the same night of the next live show (Sunday 14th) an hour long programme about Jack the Ripper and the US is being shown in the UK at 10 pm that night.

I was rather surprised myself. I do agree that the UK shows were at an disadvantage. Next year we’ll break out Non-US shows to make it a little more fair. I really expected Methodic to do much better. Its another one that really needed to be in its own category.

This year was a learning experience so next year will be MUCH better.

Superb show, incredibly enjoyable. I was absolutely flabbergasted to see Paranormal Activity carry off the coveted award for best movie. I accept that one man’s meat is another man’s poison but it was a hackneyed script with all the gravitas of a work of creative writing essay for secondary school. The performances were phoned in, the narrative (what bit of one there was) was unsatisfying…I could go on lol

Such a shame that the British shows didn’t get a look in but with such a sizeable number of votes coming from US viewers that makes perfect sense I guess.

I just wish I could have been in the chatroom to exclaim my horror at Paranormal Activity winning but next time eh?

A superb job done by all and I can’t wait till next year and I promise I shall mobilise the British and get them voting as well next time.

Fix!!!

I enjoyed listening to that podcast. It was different with it being on a Friday night. A bit like the last two Sunday night live shows, but they have been a different experience because I was able to join in with the live chat during the live show. Sorry I wasn’t able to be there for the Parawards, but it was 1 am over here.

I was gobsmacked by what percentage of the vote Methodic and Most Haunted got. It beggars belief why Paranormal Activity got that many votes. Did people buy/fall for the hype machine behind the movie? Who knows. All I can say is Methodic is one of the best horror films of recent years. Most Haunted has a big following, but I’m guessing that the majority of people voting in the Parawards were from the US. I agree that there needs to be a revision of some of the award categories, because the US shows had an unfair advantage.

Lanaia Lee was nothing short of a fascinating and inspiring lady. To have lost six children, the use of your limbs and to care for a husband who is similarly afflicted but to see and share such joy in life was nothing short of one the most humbling interviews I have ever heard (right, I’m gushing now aren’t I?) *deep breath* I have also had a wee gander at her website and from that, and her interview, it’s clear she is a repository of insight on many a paranormal subject and I really hope she gets together with the spooks again. A damn fine listen that I genuinely didn’t want to end.

Nice to hear some of Josef’s music during the interlude. I happened upon his Myspace profile when he first became involved in BTFB and I loved what he was doing. Nice to see him getting a bit of an audience.

Here’s looking forward to the next show with much anticipation.

And one thing, I think it’s awesome your Para Awards have gotten so huge that it has gotten re-tweeted by those Paranormal Ghost Hunting people from various shows…something I have no clue about.
