Oh sure, people tell fantastically entertaining stories, but as for evidence - it’s nonexistent. I’m not suggesting that everyone involved in paranormal research is a hoaxer as I believe there are things in this world that we cannot see which are true. But all EVPs can be hoaxed; all photographs can be hoaxed; orbs can be hoaxed or easily explained; people can report cold spots, warm spots, shadows or voices, but it does nothing to prove anything. Like someone here wrote earlier, if one bit of evidence is hoaxed then all evidence must be tossed out. One need only watch the Ghost Hunter episode of the flying hanger to know it was staged. Just watch the reactions of Jason and Grant - they make little effort at acting surprised. On the contrary, if it was an actual paranormal event they would have at the least peed their pants while trying to explain it. After all, it’s not like they personally witness objects actually moving (other than conveniently off-camera shadows) in real time. If they did it would be a big deal…an earth-shaking event - but, alas, the boys give it less-than expected weight. My immediate take of the event was one of being a set up. And, I dare say, Jason and Grant knew it was coming; just like the collar pull and the “You shouldn‘t be here“ EVP during the now infamous 2008 Live Halloween fiasco. Alas, like millions of others, I was willing to give Ghost Hunters a chance with no preconceived notions only to be, yet again, disappointed. One thing I don’t see anyone addressing is how Grant, a Mormon, reconciles his ghost hunting activities with his religion. Mormons preach strongly not to attempt to contact the dead for any reason.
