Spooktalkular Season 3 Episode 06 (E69)
As you can see, we’ve change our naming scheme a little. In addition to the overall episode number, we’re breaking it down by season and episode as well. Tonight’s episode was a fun one. We visit a little Classic Cinema with a ride on the 1980 Movie ‘Death Ship‘ provided by our good friend Richard. Laura and I both gave it a 3 and a half Pottsie rating.
During our Independent Music Break, we featured more music from the album “Stomp Out Cancer Presents: Musicians Fight Ewing’s Sarcoma, Vol. 2 Hope” with Katrina Carlson’s ‘Count On Me’. Just a reminder that all proceeds from the album are donated to fight to cure Ewing’s Sarcoma.
After break, we jump into a discussion of the first two episodes of the AMC Original Series ‘The Walking Dead’. We really liked the show. It shows great promise and we can’t wait to see where the remaining four episodes of season one go.

Spooktalkular Episode 067
Wow, another fun show is behind us. Few technical problems only because I suck as a tech guy. Kenny Caperton joined us tonight to tell us about the Halloween Bash at the Myer’s House NC scheduled for Halloween. Sounds like a great time. In addition to the bash, Kenny catches us up on what has been going on around the house.
Remember the listener story submissions. Running through the month of October. Also remember the trivia question that Laura announced during the first part of the show.
The Independent Music break featured more sounds from the album Stomp Out Cancer: Musician’s Fight Ewing’s Sarcoma Presents – HOPE. Tonight’s song was by The Sheds and is titled “Only Way Out Is Through”. It was written for a friend of the band that was going through chemo.

Spooktalkular Episode 064
Welcome back to season 3. We kicked it off big time tonight. We talked about our hosting the speaking forums for the 9th Annual Mothman Festival in the beautiful Point Pleasant, WV. We sprinkled in a bit of spooky news and then topped the show off with a good bit of movies. The movies we covered were Inception, Vampires Suck, The Last Exorcism and our Classic Cinema Event Horizon.
For a treat, we also talked about the film “Ghosts Don’t Exist” which is due to be released Tuesday the 7th. We had some of the creative team from GDE on back in October so it was so incredible to get a sneak peek at the film which was so worth the wait. Great film, great story, beautifully shot. This isn’t an Independent Film, it’s an Independent Treat! Grab a copy today, pre-order at Amazon or pick it up at Best Buy on Tuesday. You won’t be disappointed.
From the WAY TOO MUCH department, a warning, parts of this episode aren’t exactly safe for work. And here’s why… For Classic Cinema this week, we talk about the 1997 film Event Horizon staring Laurence Fishburne and Sam Neill. Let’s just say we went a little overboard on our discussion of Laurence’s Daughter’s newest film, “Montana Fishburne: An A-List Daughter Makes her XXX Debut“. Sorry Laurence. We still love ya man, and as a father myself, I can feel for you. With that said, it should in no way take anything away from “Event Horizon”.
Our Independent Music break this week was from the Stomp Out Cancer Volume 2 CD: Hope. Public Symphony (London): Stronger.

Spooktalkular Episode 062
Had an absolute amazing time doing the show tonight. We didn’t have any guests but we still had plenty of gab going on. We start off by discussing our plans for when we buy the Amityville Horror House which recently went on sale. We just need 1.5 million of our incredible listeners to send us a buck each and we can make it a reality. ;) We also briefly talk about a really cool old audio recording about Spiricom that we found in the 2005 archives of Ghostly Talk. We also checked out the remake of the Wolfman this weekend and we both loved it.
Believe it or not, Ghost Hunters Academy is back. Well, we being the fans we are take a run through of the new cadets. Frank is thinking about pitching a new similar series but instead of Steve or Tango, Gordon Ramsay is the lead. It would be great. While we’re in the angry mood, we also tear into Happy Town. How does a show with this much potential end up in such a shape?
A couple of special thanks to some great friends of the show. Jake Wheat has updated our website and, Jake, I promise I’ll get the new version online soon. ;) And, to Mark Hayden. Thanks, as always for the incredible banners you do for us.

Spooktalkular Episode 057
We were joined tonight by our great friend Jake Wheat. Jake tells us all about the CD “Stomp Out Cancer Volume 2: Hope” which all proceeds benefit Stomp Out Cancer and Ewing’s Sarcoma Research. You will be hearing songs from the CD featured on our Independent Music Breaks over the next few months. While Jake was here, we also talked about his other project, ‘The Waverly Hills Sanatorium Audio Experience” and “Stomp Out Cancer: Volume 1“. It was an incredible hour and we hated for it to be over. Actually, when we stopped recording, we kept talking for quite a while afterwards.
Before Jake joined us, we talked about the new ABC series ‘Happy Town‘ which we plan on covering when it starts up on April 30th. You can watch the first 14 minutes on ABC’s site. It looks GREAT!!! We can’t wait. We’re planning to make it our guilty pleasure this year.
As we mentioned, tonight’s Independent Music Breaks were from the CD “Stomp Out Cancer Volume 2: Hope” which you can find on iTunes. We played the songs ‘Stronger’ by Public Symphony and ‘Emory’ by Heros and Madmen. Remember, all proceeds from all the CDs benefit Ewing’s Sarcoma research.
Thanks for listening!

Spooktalkular Episode 014
Spooktalkular episode 14 is history. Pretty cool episode. It was a blast to do. We introduce the first annual Spooktalkular Celebrity Ghost Hunt. Highly recommended to listen, it’s a blast. We discuss the usual television. “Ghost Hunters”, “Paranormal State”, “UFO Hunters”, “Most Haunted” and “Ghost Whisperer”. We share the news that “Ghost Whisperer” has been renewed for a fifth season. “Ghost Hunters” is doing another spin-off that’s touted as a “College Edition”. Sounds like it’s an attempted at doing a Sci-Fi rip-off of “Paranormal State”.
Then, we move on to a serious note. Jake Wheat from Street Blast Media contact us last week about being involved in a charity that he’s close to. He has made the “Waverly Hills: The Audio Experience” CD available with 100% of the proceeds going to Stomp Out Cancer, a charity that helps battle Ewing’s Sarcoma. Incredible CD and an increible cause. We urge every listener to head over to iTunes and grab a copy today. If you do, let us know what you think about the CD. We loved it.
Before we head out, we quickly check in on our friends over at backtofrankblack.com.
